I really like the socialization aspect of the walks and that Pluto gets a chance to be with his other paw pals.

THE POWER OF SOCIAL STRUCTURE
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Why Pack Walks Work
Balanced Training
Good behavior belongs in the community. We focus on teaching dogs how to navigate real-world distractions with poise, ensuring their manners are consistent everywhere.
Real-world Manners
Dogs practice loose leash walking, threshold manners, and impulse control in real neighborhoods — not controlled environments. They learn to stay composed around traffic and wildlife.
Power of the Pack
Dogs are social creatures by design. Our structured walks harness the pack's collective energy, teaching calm submissiveness and confidence as dogs move in harmony.
Communication Tools
We use PetPocketBook™ to keep you informed before, during and after our Pack Walks. PetPocketBook™ allows you to track your 'pups' location and their handler "real time".

These rules keep our walks safe, balanced, and enjoyable for every dog in the pack. We strictly follow these guidelines to ensure the best experience for your pet.
- Dogs must be at least 14 weeks old to join pack walks
- Puppies should wait 7–10 days after completing their full vaccination series
- During this early stage, avoid dog parks, pet stores, and areas with unknown dogs
Age Requirement
- Rabies vaccine (boosters typically every 1–3 years)
- Canine Influenza vaccine (typically given annually)
- Flea & tick boosters (typically given every 6 months)
Vaccination Requirements
- We do allow unfixed dogs to join pack walks
- Female dogs in heat cannot participate due to hormonal changes
- During that time, we offer drop-in visits until your dog can rejoin
Spay & Neuter Policy
Training Evaluation
- All dogs must complete ~60 min meet-and-greet
- We assess temperament and pack position
- Review basic obedience: sit, down, heel, stay
- Identify triggers, tools, and training needs
All Breeds & Sizes Welcome
- We accept all sizes: extra small to extra large
- Dogs are grouped by energy and pace—not size
- If extra support is needed, we may recommend 1-on-1 first
They have showed us that some of what we do as humans can reinforce bad behavior in dogs. We have made some simple changes in such a short time. We have a much happier household!

Frequently Asked Questions for the Discerning Pet Owner
Est. 2021
"Because when dogs get the movement and structure they need, everyone enjoys a more peaceful home."
About the Founder
How It All Started
Like many dog owners, I grew up in a home where life was busy. My single mom worked hard, and although we loved our dog deeply, she didn't always get the exercise and social interaction she needed. The result was familiar to many families—chewed shoes, torn-up yards, and a restless dog trying to release pent-up energy.
But something interesting happened whenever our extended family gathered together going out on pack walks. Suddenly, our dog became calm, balanced, and well-behaved. Being around other dogs and moving together changed everything. That moment stuck with me.
Years later, I began studying Cesar Millan's philosophy of structured pack walks and realized something powerful: many behavioral issues aren't about bad dogs—they're about unmet needs. Dogs thrive when they have exercise, structure, and community.
In 2021, I started The Gentleman's Paw as a one-man operation in Saratoga with a simple mission: help dogs live calmer, happier lives through structured pack walks. Today, our team proudly serves families across Santa Clara County, helping dogs release energy, build confidence, and return home relaxed and fulfilled.

Founded The Gentleman’s Paw in 2021 amid a career break. Rooted in the mission that quality pet care must be implemented in community with others. I know that families in Silicon Valley operate on extremely busy schedules and rarely have enough energy to care for their dogs’ socialization needs.
